Ivy just came up to me and said, "You donapos;t say it like purful, you say it like careful.� Iapos;m big now, so I know how to say it like careful."

I�felt like the floor came out from under me.� Ivy has said "purful" for so long, and it was one of the words that we never actively corrected her on.� We had always considered that particular word to be a litmus test for her irrevocably growing up.� She was so damn cute, saying it like that.� Of course a parentapos;s ultimate goal is for their children to grow up, but I am definitely not comfortable with the rate at which that is happening.
